ILLUSTRIOUS SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF ILOBU, (VOLUME TWO) 23RD EDITION
He
lives a very quiet life; he is simple, highly intelligent, very
versatile, highly dependable and Godly. He is an administrator par
excellence, a classic religious leader, a committed community leader, an
astute Hajj Tour Operator. He is everything good to many people within
and outside Ilobu community.
Alhaji Tajudeen Olatunde Adelabu was born on the 16th of September, 1968 to Late Pa Imran Oke Adelabu and Madam Mopelola Adelabu of Olobu’s Compound, Ilobu. He kick-started his educational sojourn in 1975 at St John’s Anglican Primary School, Okinni and finished in 1981. After his primary education, he got admitted to Ilobu Secondary Commercial Grammar School, where he passed out in flying Colours. He also went to the College of Education, Ila-Orangun, where he studied History, Islamic Studies and Education. He didn’t stop at the certificate bagged at the College of Education; he went further for a higher roll of parchment by attending the Prestigious University of Ilorin and graduated in 1995 with a second class upper from the Department of Educational Foundations. He was posted to Ebonyi State where he served at the Islamic Centre in Afikpo for his mandatory National Youth Service after his graduation from the university.
Having Completed his National Youths Service Corps programme, he taught for many years before securing a permanent employment from the Osun State Government as an Administrative Officer in January 2003 and he has since injected his very best as a true administrator into many Ministries and Agencies where he served. As a well grounded administrator, he likes quietness but with great flair for minute details and success in any assignment given unto him. He has also served as Secretary to several Panels, Committees and Commissions. He worked as Secretary to the Judicial Panel of Inquiry into the Oloyan of Oyan Chieftaincy Title (Odo Otin Local Government) in 2010, Committee for the Hosting of the 3rd Summit of Heads of Service of the South West States in 2013 and the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board from 2013 to 2015 which gave many natives the opportunity to benefit from his merciful support at the Holy land; he was described by many as God sent; making their Hajj Pilgrimage a easy and successful task. He is currently the Director of Finance and Accounts, Rural Water and Environmental Sanitation Agency (RUWESA) in Osun State. He has attended several seminars, workshop and training both locally and internationally.
Worth noting is that he is one of the founding fathers of Ilobu National Students’ Union; (a union that was a grooming ground for many leaders of today) where he served meritoriously as the Vice President in 1995. He is no doubt a mentor and role model too to many youths in Ilobu and her environs. As a member of the senior civil servant in Osun State, he has greatly facilitated the appointment of many natives into the employment of the Osun State Government.
Alhaji Tajudeen Olatunde Adelabu is happily married and blessed with promising children. He loves traveling, reading and farming.
Therefore, in recognition of his immeasurable contributions to the uplift of Ilobu community and unflinching support for our people while serving as the Secretary to the Muslim Pilgrim Welfare Board, I therefore with all sense of humility present Alhaji Tajudeen Olatunde Adelabu to the whole world for recognition and appreciation as an Illustrious son of Ilobu Asake.
