search engine picked on a workaholic person, highly committed to Ilobu
agenda, a patriotic revolver in all areas bothering Ilobu’s development.
He has invested so much into Ilobu agenda with his coordination of
several community based activities, conflict resolutions, bridge
building and mentorship of the up-coming ones.
Mr. Abdulganny Olanrele Alade Olasupo hails from Agaloye’s Compound in Ilobu. His father, Late Pa Abdul-Kareem Ajao Olasupo was a farmer and his mother Madam Aishat Abeni Olasupo was known for selling “Eko”. He grew up at Oladipo Bara Village, Oke-Oba in Oba Oke land, Olorunda Local Government of Osun State. He was a typical village boy.
He started his primary education at the NUD Primary School, Oba in 1973 and completed it in 1978. He attended St Paul’s United Modern School, between 1978 and 1979. He proceeded to Erin Community Grammar School, Erin-Osun for his secondary education in 1979 and graduated in 1983. His educational sojourn was a complete metamorphosis; he attended the Divisional Teachers’ College, Ejigbo for his Grade II Certificate in 1984 and graduated in 1985. He gained admission to the Oyo State College of Education, Ila-Orangun to study Mathematics/Chemistry in 1985. At the College of Education, Ila-Orangun, it was so rough and tough for him that he depended on the little change he could get from working at his lecturers’ farm to keep body and soul together. He had just two T-shirt and a trouser with one native wear all through his 3 years at the college. He eventually graduated with a very good grade in 1988. He bagged his B.Sc (ED) in Mathematics from the Ondo State University, Ado-Ekiti in 1996.
After his NCE program, he worked either as a PTA or as a voluntary teacher at various schools until 1992 when he secured a permanent appointment with the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Osun State. He had worked at various schools as a class teacher, HOD and Vice Principal. He is currently a Vice Principal (extra-ordinary) with the IMA Government Middle School, Ilobu. He is a distinguished member of the teaching profession, a leader in the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), an examiner with WAEC and NECO since 1996 till date and has attended several seminars and workshops on Mathematics at Akure, Oyo, Lokoja and Abuja in the years 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2015. He is a guru in the teaching of Mathematics at the Secondary School level. He has in his kitty several unpublished work on O’ Level Mathematics
Mr. Abdulganny Olanrele Alade Olasupo is a household name in Ilobu. He has won the hearts of many people in the community through his active service to the community; IDU National Secretary between 1998 and 2006, Secretary Ilobu Day Planning Committee between 1998 and 2001, Chairman – Ilobu Day Planning Committee between 2002 and 2006, Secretary - Olobu Palace Building Committee 2002 till date, Member- Ilobu Elders Committee, Member – Conflict Resolution Committee… He has been very-very outstanding in community service and also ensured that the link between the olds and the up-coming ones is intact.
As a teacher in Ilobu community, he has diligently and carefully helped in shaping the lives of so many students via his teachings and counseling. He had stood severally against all forms of nefarious activities usually identified with the youths to ensure that their movement up the success ladder is not hindered.
Therefore, in recognition of his immeasurable contributions to the growth of Ilobu community, I therefore with all sense of humility present Mr. Abdulganny Olanrele Alade Olasupo to the whole world for recognition and appreciation as an Illustrious son of Ilobu Asake.
